Fatima Moreira De Melo is a Dutch field hockey player and a Team PokerStars poker player. She is one of the best field hockey players in the world, which has earned great respect from her competitors. She has proud to have a career that is filled with many great moments and achievements especially in international competitions. One of her greatest moments was when she helped her country win the gold medal in the 2008 Olympics in Beijing. She has also played for her country in the Sydney Games in 2000 and the 2004 Athens Olympics, and has won the bronze and silver medals respectively. She also played for the Dutch National Team in the 2006 Women’s Hockey World Cup, and won the championship. She also was part of the National Team that won the 2007 Champions Trophy. Fatima immediately made a good impression when she played made her debut against Germany on October 21,1997. She contributed to the team’s offense and allowed her team to win 2-1. Fatima was also a notable player in the Dutch league. Fatima received recognition as the Rotterdam Sportswoman of the Year in 2006.

Fatima is a very well-rounded individual as well. The field hockey player is a talented singer who has sang in different sporting events. During the closing of the 2001 Men’s World Cup Hockey Qualifier in Edinburgh, she sang the theme song for the International Hockey Federation’s International Year of the Youth. That’s not all, because Fatima has also achieved a Masters Degree in Law in 2006. Fatima has also done presentations for national TV stations.

Fatima has the potential to succeed in the world of poker. She is aiming to succeed in the future in a totally different field and hopefully win major tournaments along the way. Watch out for Fatima Moreira De Melo.

You’ve probably seen them on live telecast of various poker tournaments and circuits. Players all have their version when it comes to the stories of their success. Some stories unfolding as ordinary as the guy next door, some are quite impressive and inspiring when you hear them. But for German player Jens Voertmann, there is really nothing extraordinary about his side of story. He was one of those guys who got into poker a little late in their life. It was only in 2003 when Jens got hooked in poker, reading extensively and finding everything he can learn about the game. He practiced consistently playing local games in his hometown Dortmund. After developing his newly found success in poker, he decided to quit his job as finance specialist to focus full-time in 2005.

In his first WSOP tournament in 2006, he managed to take home a total earnings of $33,197. But after just a month, he scored his first win in the Bodensee Poker Championship No Limit Hold’em Main event where he took home $30,315 total cash win. He also cashed in a lot of small earnings in various European tournaments that he has joined in the following year such as the 2005 Austrian Classics, 2008 CAPT Bregenz Open, 2008 CAPT Salzburg Open and very recently, the 2009 Late Night Poker at Cardiff. He has appeared in four World Series of Poker events, where he got his first bracelet. He scored his first bracelet in the 2008 WSOP $3,000 H.O.R.S.E event where he earned a total of $298,253 cash wins. It was a such a remarkable experience for Jens besting over 414 opponents including some of the top poker players in the world. With that record under his name, surely we can expect a lot more victory from this pro player who’s determination in learning more about the game certainly paid well for him.

The world of poker is often heralded as a man’s world. Women playing poker is not a usual sight that you get to see in casinos nor in live tournaments. This is the reality that Cyndy Violette has grown into but not for long. As the years progress, more and more women are making a name for them in poker, and she is definitely among them. Cyndy believes that she has been into poker before poker even became fashionable for everyone to play around. Born in Queens, New York, her family has to moved to Las vegas though when she turned twelve. She learned the game from her family members, often playing with them. She also worked as a blackjack dealer in some casinos and while she was on leave, she decided to have a little stud game where she kept on winning. She soon shifted to being a poker dealer participating in small tournaments until she has built up a considerable amount of bankroll from her winnings. With the realization that she is earning money from poker, she decided to pursue it full-time.

She began playing professionally in 1984. She won her first Golden Nugget tournament in the Seven Card Stud event taking home a total prize of $74,000. During that time, it was considered to be the highest win any woman has ever done in the history of poker. When Cyndy moved to Atlantic City after her divorce, she would always participate in local games traveling only to Las Vegas to play in World Series of Poker. She won her first bracelet in the 2004 World Series of Poker Seven-Card Stud Hi-Lo Event taking home a total earnings of $135,900. She was one of the three women who won a bracelet in that year’s WSOP tournament securing for herself a spot in the World Poker Tour Ladies Night 2. In tournaments, Cyndy is often hailed as that “good-looking blondie who is always smiling” but despite that bubbly facade she could be a very dangerous poker player.

Jose Luis Velador’s road to his first World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelet was a long and arduous journey. He took the title after defeating his heads-up opponent Anthony Signore, but not before besting about 2,304 other players in the $1,500 No Limit Hold’em event. It was a sweet success for Luis, as he wants to be called, taking home a total of $573,734 earnings. Originally hailing from Jalisco, Mexico, Velador currently resides in Southern California. He started playing poker in 1997 and since then, he has remarkably improved a lot his game. This is an impressive record considering that it is never easy to break inside the world of poker and to actually excel in it, something that not a lot of people are capable of.

He has already scored numerous great success, particularly in the 2000 Winnin O The green Tournament $300 Limit Hold’em where he took home $28,240 and in the 2006 LA Poker Classic $300 Limit Hold’em event where he took another $51,789 earnings. He was also able to score a second victory in the LA Poker Classic but this time in the Omaha High-Low Eight or Better event, snagging a total of $58,607 cash win. He has participated in various live tournaments such as the 2007 California State Poker Championship, 2008 Bellagio Cup IV and 2009 Five Star World Poker Classic among others. He has participated in 7 World Series of Poker events and 3 World Poker Tour events since he started his career in poker. Clearly, this is not the last that we will hear of Jose Luis Velador as he has a bright future waiting ahead of him. He just has to keep playing his cards well and maintain the same aggressiveness he has showed ever since he started making poker his full-time career.

Charles Jett hails from the center of all things gambling and poker – Las Vegas, Nevada. It is no surprise, then, that he will eventually pursue a career in the said game. What is admirable, though, and what is not determined by his geographical location, is the fact that he managed to succeed in the business well enough to be established to a level where he is feared by people who are playing poker.

Jett, who acquired his fitting nickname Chip long before his poker-playing days, began in the business of poker long before he was actually playing the game. Chip Jett started out as a dealer, being the one who oversees games and the one who deals the cards to the players. He began this when he was living in Arizona, and it was through this that he started learning the ins and outs of the game of poker. He eventually picked up the techniques that were being used by the players that he dealt cards to, until he was ready to use these techniques himself. He played in the casino he worked in for six years and honed his poker-playing skills there.

He entered the tournament scene in 2000, beginning with state poker championships in California and in Iowa. It was in the following year, however, in 2001, that he made waves in the professional poker tournament world when he reached a number of final tables at the LA Poker Classic tournament. It was in 2003 that he made his first six-figure win, when he won the World Poker Tour’s Jack Binion World Poker Open and took home $129,589. Later that same year, he finished second in the WPT PartyPoker Million II tournament, and he took home over $175,000 for that tournament. He has joined many tournaments after that, including the World Series of Poker, the United States Poker Championship, and other WPT-hosted events. As of now he has earned more than $2 million from his winnings in these tournaments. With eight first-place finishes under his belt, and that much money in his bank, he is considered to be one of the poker greats of the present, and is feared in the poker tables by those who recognize him.

Niki Jedicka’s talent and skill in playing poker professionally was given a nod in 2007, when he was nominated as the Rookie of the Year for the 2007 European Poker Awards. This, however, would not be considered his greatest achievement, as the statement of his achievement lies not in the award nomination that he has achieved, but in the reason he got nominated in the first place – he has managed to build his bank up significantly by playing poker.

Niki Jedlicka began playing poker in 2006, a year before he got nominated for the EPAs, but he did not play seriously at once. He began playing as a past time, a way to spend time with family and friends. As he got better in the game, though, his interest in poker increased, and he began playing seriously when he started entering in online poker games. It was here that he found his initial success, building a significant bankroll by playing his way through. He used the name KaiBuxxe, and he became popular under this name, garnering attention when he would play in pot-limit omaha games. He improved his games by playing it big and taking risks, even taking on known poker champions and succeeding in winning these games.

He made a move from the online poker scene to the live poker tournaments later that same year. He would make it through these tournaments and to the final tables, cementing his place in the tournaments as one of the strongest players to have just surfaced in the live poker tournament scene. In 2007, he joined several poker tournaments such as the Poker Masters Royale and the Austrian classics before he finally joined the European Poker Tour. He placed 7th in the said tournament, and he took home more than €150,000 for their No Limit Hold’em event. It was this that got him nominated for Rookie of the Year. Expect more superb performances like this from Jedlicka very soon.

When Alessio Isaia is not skiing on some white and sparkling slope, he is playing poker. This professional poker player breaks stereotypes of poker pros, being one who loves the outdoors, traveling, and as mentioned, skiing. Still, this Italian-born player is more known for his poker-playing skills than his skills on the slopes.

Alessio Isaia began playing poker in the years following the poker boom that Chris Moneymaker had caused in the world of gambling in general. Isaia was inspired by watching poker games on television, and so he began learning about the game. He then put his newfound skills to the test by participating in various online poker games that were being offered, and he used his winnings there to participate in his first tournament. Like most poker players who were beginning in the field, he used these games as an opportunity to build up his bankroll, and soon he began playing in live tournament circuits.

His first experience of the professional tournament scene was not a breakthrough as is the case with some other poker players. He joined the European Poker Tour Grand Final in 2007, and he ended up finishing at the twenty-third place, only taking home $682. This was, however, followed by remarkable wins for that same year. He joined the Barcelona Open hosted by the EPT, and he made his first major money win, taking home $32,897 for placing sixteenth at their No Limit Hold’Em Championship. He had another big win at the No Limit Hold’em Tournament, where he won first place and took home $25,007. His biggest win to date is in the World Poker Tour season seven, where he joined in the Bellagio Cup and he won second and $132,035. Today he has made more than $470,000, and he ranks tenth in the Italy All Time Money List. Alessio Isaia sure is one promising poker player.

Soraya Homam is one of the professional poker players who not only has a background on competitiveness, she also has a background on effective strategizing. Unlike some of the pros who used to play active sports before they channeled their energy to poker, Homam played a game that required a great deal of strategic planning as well as a healthy level of competitiveness – chess. Chess required a certain level of studying and strategic planning to be able to win over the masters and the grandmasters of the game, and her years of playing chess have given her the insight that by doing the same to other endeavors, she could succeed. When she thus started playing poker in 1993, she began by studying different poker strategies and testing them, modifying them on the way in order to be able to achieve the best game possible. While working on her regular job, she would play on tournaments in local casinos on the side in order to begin building up her bankroll, so that she could join bigger tournaments and start winning big. Because of the research and the practice she put into the game, she succeeded in doing so.

The new millenium brought Homam to the professional poker tournament scene, where she had a very good starting experience when she broke into e professional world of poker. She won the European Hold’Em Championship Pot Limit Hold’Em event, taking home with her $34,588. She has joined other tournaments ever since, such as the Binions Poker Classic and the Master Classics of Poker. Her biggest win to date, though, came recently, in 2008. She joined PartyPoker.com’s Womens World Open, and she won first place, taking home $50,000 for that event. As of now, she has won a total of over $100,000, and she continues to join tournaments to this day, playing for Full Tilt Pros.

Some people say that life begins at forty. If that is the case, then Rob Hollink’s life began with a bang – and a lot of cash. This forty-seven year-old professional poker player has been playing before he turned the big 4-0, but it was just the year before people say life begins that he started winning big amounts of cash from the game.

Rob Hollink started out like some of the other professional poker players in the world of poker today – he was an athlete. He participated in several sports, such as soccer, basketball, and tennis. Unfortunately, on his way to a professional career, he incurred several injuries that would prevent him from further pursuing a career in any of these sports, so he had to find a new niche. Poker provided a good alternative for him, since he was extremely competitive, and he was knowledgeable in economics and mathematics, which worked to his advantage. He started playing in his home country, The Netherlands, and he found success in playing at the local casinos in his area.

He turned to the tournaments when he was thirty-nine years old and won his first tournament ever. This was at the Pot Limit Omaha event of the Euro Finals of Poker, where he won first prize and took home $82,279. From that point on he continued to join various poker tournaments. He has joined in the three most popular tournaments in the world of poker – the World Series of Poker, where he won a bracelet and twenty money finishes; in the World Poker Tour, where he has had two money wins and one final table; and in the European Poker Tour, which he has won once, has participated in final table once, and in which he has had three money wins. To this day, he has made almost $3 million from the tournaments he has joined. His biggest win so far is the at the European Poker Tour in Monte Carlo, where he won the No Limit Hold’Em event and took home $851,903. As mentioned earlier, this man started his life at 40 with a bang and a lot of cash.

Sebastien Chabal is one of the most aggressive professional poker players in the world. In fact, he is one of a few members of Team PokerStars France. He used to play for the French National Team and achieved his first international cap against Scotland in 2000. Who would ever thought that Boris Becker is a talented poker player as well. Boris definitely has something to show in the world of poker. Prior to his new career, Boris is known all over the world as the former World Number 1 professional tennis player. Boris is proud to be the six-time Grand Slam singles Champion, an Olympic gold medalist, and the youngest tennis professional to emerge victorious at the Wimbledon singles at the young age of 17.

Aside from being one of the best tennis players of all time and winning 49 major titles, Boris is extremely passionate about the world of poker. After he retired from professional tennis, Boris often played poker and gained sufficient experience within a few years. In no time, he was able to establish himself in the world of poker, not because of his reputation for being one of the greatest tennis players in the world, but for his exceptional talent and skill in the game. Boris participated in Season 4 PokerStars European Poker Tour Grand Final which was held in Monte Carlo. Boris amused a lot of fans by finishing 7th place. Boris competed in the €500 No Limit Holdem event, and was able to end up with $18,672. Boris may not have as much experience in the game as most of the other poker greats do, but he is quickly drawing much attention and respect. Boris continues to practice his passion in poker by competing in online and live tournaments as well. Just like in tennis, his motivation in playing poker is enormously great.

Boris is not just a great tennis player, but a competitive professional poker as well. He is an inspiration to everyone who wants to follow their dreams.

Guts poker has a quite a good number of varieties to keep the people playing without getting tired, and the best part about it is that they all vary in difficulty and in the required time for playing, so players can play their chosen variations alternately in order to keep things interesting and lively. One of the easier games to play is the Three To Five, which is similar to the Two And One variation of Guts. The Three To Five also is one of the quicker Guts poker variants that are out there, although it could also drag on if the circumstances favor the players. More often than not, though, it’ll be over because of the gameplay itself.

The game begins as your typical Guts game would – it begins with the placing of the antes. Each player participating is then dealt three cards each, and they go through a declaration round where they declare whether they are in or they are out. As you have probably noticed, this declaration round is standard in Guts games. Anyway, those who are in are dealt two additional cards, so that each player now has five cards; all these cards are to be used to form their hand, and so this game makes use of the regular poker hands that we know of. A round of betting then takes place, beginning with the player to the dealer’s immediate left, and then the showdown happens, where the players compare to see who has the best hand. The one with the highest hand wins the pot, and those who declared in and lost the round have to match the pot for the next round of the game. As with the other Guts games with pot matching, the game does not come to an end until only one person declares in. Still, while other games with that system could take forever to finish, the Three To Five is rather quick to end because the hands that need to be formed are five-card hands, which tend to be more difficult for the players. Try it out and you’ll be ready for the real poker games in no time.

Different variations of different games pop up, and their common goal is to make the game more exciting and more difficult than the parent game from which it was derived. Yet there are those who develop games in a backwards sense – instead of developing the game so that people have a more complex game that they can play, these people create game varieties that will make the game even easier, to the point that it is not necessarily a serious game anymore.

A very good example of this is the game of Indian Poker. This is a very simple variation of Guts, and it is so simple that it could pass off as a practical joke that you can play on a group. The main idea in Indian Poker is simple: the player with the highest card wins the game. The game begins with the antes being placed in the pot. Each player is then dealt a single card by the dealer. They do not get to see these cards; instead, their cards are placed face-up on their foreheads, so that everyone else sees the cards of others but they do not get to see their own cards. The players get a look at the other players’ cards, and they try to see if they can outdo these cards; a declaration stage takes place, where each of the players must indicate whether they are in or out. If there is more than one player in, then these players go through a throw down, where they take the cards from their forehead and find out who has the higher card; the one with the highest card takes the pot, and the rest of the players who were in will place the same amount as the pot when they lost in the next pot. The game goes on until only one player calls in and takes the whole pot.

If you took away the pot money and the betting, then this could very well be just another simple, fun game you can introduce in a children’s party, or it could be a practical joke you can play on your friends. But if you are to play this as a serious game, then take note that you should be skilled in bluffing in order to be able to pull this off effectively, as it is very simple and you risk to lose a lot with this kind of game.

Jacks and Piss is quite a complicated game in that the entire game itself is so elaborate that it can actually get more confusing than some variants of poker, which tend to be a lot simpler. This game is a variant of Guts poker, but resembles draw poker and community card poker as well. The game begins as usual, with the players placing their antes. Then they are dealt four cards each, and the entire table is dealt one community card, which is known as the piss card. This piss card determines what the wild card will be, aside from the jacks, which are automatically considered wild cards. That is where this variation of Guts got its name from.

Anyway, let’s go back to the game: the players go through a round of declaration, and those who decide to play run the risk of paying up if they lose; we will get to that later on. Those who decided to play and stay in will then draw as many cards as they want, unless there is a modification that says there is a limit to the number of cards that a player can draw. The players then go through a round of betting. A showdown takes place, and the player with the best hand takes the pot. Those who lost have to place money in the pot, and this amount is the amount that was in the pot when they lost. This raises the stakes pretty quickly, so it is best to start betting in this game really low. The game is repeated until only one person declares in, and this person takes home the pot. That is the only time the game ends. It can be lengthy or quick depending on the players and the cards that they get, and so make sure you have enough time to spare when trying this out.

If you have the time to play a really long game, but you don’t want to play something as complicated as poker, then you might want to try this rather long variation of the original Guts game: the 357. It’s not advisable for people who only have awhile to play; however, if you are holding a game night and you want to win more money than your typical Guts game will give you, then this is definitely the way to go. It is quite difficult to win though, so do watch out.

The game begins with the players placing their antes. The antes for the 357 are higher than the antes placed for other Guts games, because there are no betting rounds in the 357. After these antes are placed, the players are dealt three cards initially, and then they have to declare whether or not they’re in. Those who are out stay out for the rest of this leg of the game, except if the player next to them declares in; then they have the choice of changing their mind before the next move takes place. Players who are in then exchange their hands with the other players who are in, being careful not to show these cards to those who are out; the losers pay the winner directly with the same amount as the money in the pot. The players are then dealt two more cards, and then another declaration round takes place, with the rules for the first round followed as well. Two more cards are dealt after the winner for the second round is paid; this time, the players show their cards to the table to determine who wins, and the losers pay the winner the same amount as the pot. Then the game starts over, beginning with three cards.

Of course, this game is not just that simple. For starters, a person only wins the pot when he wins five consecutive legs of the game, which is only won when he is the only one left standing in and the rest have opted out. Then there is the element of the wild cards, which is where the name of the game was derived. For the first round the number 3 is considered a wild card; for the second round, the 3s are no longer wild and are replaced by the 5s; and for the final round of the game, the 5s are replaced by the 7s as the wild cards of the game. This game takes a long time to play but is very interesting, and so you should try it if you have the time.

If you believe you’re ready for something that is much closer to poker than Guts poker games, then you might want to consider playing Four Three. Four Three is a variation of Guts poker that makes use of your regular poker hands and still follows the basics of Guts poker. It is a more complicated version of the Two and One in that it involves more hands and more cards, and there is an opportunity to turn it into something like poker by adding more betting rounds to the table.

Each player is initially dealt four cards for the game. As with the other Guts games, this is done after the antes have been placed in the pot. Then a declaration round takes place, where players decide whether they are in or they are out; those who are out no longer get the cards that those who are in will be receiving. Those who are in will place their bets, and then they will be dealt three more cards. The players then have to declare whether they are playing for a high hand, a low hand, or both – as you can see, this is a high-low variation of Guts. What follows next is that the showdown takes place. They have to make the best five-card hand that they can, depending on what they declared they would play, in order to win their fair share of the pot. A player playing Four Three, then, has to make himself familiar with the different poker hands that are used in poker games in order to be able to keep up with their opponents.

As mentioned, the players may decide to add an extra betting round, which would make this similar to certain poker variants. This additional betting round may be added after the additional three cards are dealt to the players. Try it out, and you could just take the leap to poker afterwards very easily.

The game of Guts is such a simple game, and so it serves as a perfect template for developing different varieties. This is because a lot of elements can be introduced, and even the most basic varieties of Guts can be altered even more, to make it more complicated or more exciting.

Take for instance this chain: We have the basic game of Guts, where players are dealt two cards. This evolved to the Monte Carlo, wherein players are dealt three cards instead of two, and so four more hands were made possible to achieve. This eventually evolved to the Consecutive Guts, where players are dealt five cards but have to form a hand with only three cards, like the Monte Carlo, except the concept of wild cards has been introduced already. Now comes another evolution of the game: the Alternating Guts.

The Alternating Guts is played just like the Consecutive Guts. Each player is dealt five cards, and they have to make the best three-card hand that they can out of the five cards that they are dealt. A player may also use wild cards in Alternating Guts. Of course, the difference lies in what cards are considering wild cards. In Consecutive Guts, the name suggests that consecutive numbers may be used as the wild cards; the same follows with Alternating Guts, where the name suggests a person may use alternating numbers as their wild cards. These alternating numbers are cards that are once removed from one another. For instance, you have a hand of 3-5-J-J-8. The cards 3 and 5 are once removed from each other, and so you can use them as a wild card to create a jack-high three of a kind. Because getting alternating cards happens more often than getting consecutive cards, this really puts a spin to the game by giving every player an advantage. This is why, as in Consecutive Guts, the only hands allowed to be played here are the high cards, the pairs, and the three of a kind combinations.

The trend with game evolution is that everytime a particular game evolves, additional rules are added, making the game more complicated than before. In the game of Guts, for instance, those who developed modifications took the basic game of Guts and added rules and cards in order to be able to change the dynamic of the game.

There is a variation of Guts, known as Consecutive Guts, which is very interesting to play. The game is played like your basic game of Guts – the players are dealt cards at the beginning of the game, and they decide whether they are in or out before placing bets and getting to the showdown. However, players are dealt five cards instead of three for this game, and while their goal remains to be making the highest hand out of the cards that they have, they only get to make a three-card hand, similar to that of the Monte Carlo and the Two and One.

A very good twist is added to the game, though: If a player ends up with two consecutive cards in his hand, then he can use those cards together as a wild card. To illustrate: let’s say you have a hand comprised of a 5-6-A-A-9. Because the 5 and the 6 are consecutive numbers, you can use them as a wild card together, so you will end up playing a hand with four cards, but the 5 and 6 will be considered as one card – in this case, you declare it to be an ace, so that you have a three of a kind. Because the chances of a player getting a pair of consecutive cards are quite high, this should really change up the dynamic of the game, making it easier for the players to come up with higher hands to beat their opponents.

There is just a thing though: a player can only play a high card, a pair, or a three of a kind for this variation of Guts. This is an added challenge, because it would be easier to come up with straights if this system were observed. Try it out for you to determine whether or not it is easier for you. One thing is certain: this certainly adds to the excitement that the game brings.

Games continue to flourish because people keep on coming up with ideas as to how to keep these games interesting and fresh. Even the simplest games are changed up by the people playing them; for instance, how many times do children change the rules in the simple game of tag?

Card games are no exception to the rule. There are many things that a person can do to a basic card game to make it as exciting as ever, if not more. Take for example the basic Guts game. Because the game is so simple, people have developed different varieties to spice things up a bit. One of these varieties is the Monte Carlo, wherein instead of using two cards, the players use three cards each. Yet even this is simple for the players, and so they further developed the game into something even more interesting and thrilling. Hence came the Two and One.

The Two and One is like the Monte Carlo in that it is played with three cards and not two. The mechanics of the game follow the same mechanics as that of the basic Guts game, and at the end of the round, the people rank their hands based on the same ranking as the Monte Carlo follows. What makes it different, though, is that in the Two and One, instead of having the dealer deal the players three cards each at the start of the game, the dealer has to deal two cards to each player at the beginning of the game. The twist comes next: to be able to receive the third card, a player must decide to stay in the game; if he opts out, then he forfeits his claim to the pot, and he does not get the third card that was meant for him. This introduces the element of tactics in the game because they now have to strategize based on the initial cards that they are dealt. The players know that the final card can change their hand dramatically, so they have to think twice before staying in the game. You can try it if you want to introduce some strategizing to your game.

Guts may be a very simple game, and it may be a good starting point if you do not want to be confused with the world of poker just yet, but as expected of a simple game, it has grown different varieties as well. One of the slightly more complicated varieties of the game is the Monte Carlo.

The Monte Carlo is also known as the three-card Guts, and as the name suggests, instead of being dealt two cards, as in the case of the basic game, the players are dealt three cards each. This has great repercussions, as the number of hands that may be played by each player increases as well. If before, a player can only get a pair and a high card for his hands, this time, a player can get four additional hands: a three of a kind, a straight, a flush, and a straight flush. The order of the hands follow the usual order of the poker hands; however, as there is no hand as a three of a kind in poker games, the three of a kind in the Monte Carlo takes the place of the four of a kind in poker hands. Given that, the order of the hands from lowest to highest would be as follows:

The high card would be the lowest;

The pair would come next;

The straight would be third;

The flush would follow;

The three of a kind would be fifth;

And finally, the straight flush would be the highest hand.

The gameplay is the same as the basic game, so if you are already familiar with basic Guts then you have nothing to worry about in that department. Try it out if you find the game of basic Guts too easy, and you just might be ready to make that transition to poker anytime soon.

For those who find the different poker games complicated, even with all the tutorials that are out there nowadays, you might find a good game of Guts easier to understand. This is because it makes use of fewer cards, has fewer rules, and is therefore easier to understand than its more strategically difficult cousin. As in the game of poker, the goal is to get a higher hand when you compare cards with your opponent, and true to its nature, there is a betting round that occurs as well.

The game of basic Guts is very easy and simple, and does not require a lot of thinking. The game usually begins with the players posting antes. Each player is then dealt two cards each, and there are two possible hands that each player can have – a high card and a pair. Of course, the one with the pair wins if no one else has a pair, but if everyone does not get a pair, then the winner is determined based on who has the highest card. Let’s go back where we left off: After each player is dealt two cards, they then decide whether they are in or out of the game depending on what cards they have. Those who are in place their bets in the pot, and the person with the highest hand wins the contents of the pot. Those who were in but have lost will be forced to place money in the pot for the next round, and because bets for this kind of game are usually small, the money that they have to put in the pot for the next round is equal to the amount of the pot for the round that they lost. This way, the pot keeps growing, and the game gets more interesting.

It’s very easy and uncomplicated, and so if you don’t want to be confused by poker games just yet, then you might want to try playing the basic game of Guts. As the name suggests, all you need is to have the guts to play. Still, it’s a simple and fun way to pass time.

Stud Poker rose to popularity because of its unique mechanics, which create more mystery for the game and allow each player to function with more individuality. Unlike most poker variations which make use of community cards that are seen and shared by everyone, stud poker does not make use of common cards. Instead, each player is given a certain number of cards in different face up and face down combinations, depending on the name of the game. There are a lot of variations – Five Card Stud, Six Card Stud and Seven Card Stud. Within these variations, there are even sub-variations that sprout from the creative minds of poker enthusiasts. While the main variations of Stud Poker differ in the number of cards dealt to each player, the sub-variations are categorized by the way these cards are distributed. Surprisingly, there’s also a variation of stud poker called Eight Card Stud. It’s quite rare – not only has very few heard of it, but there are seemingly no casinos that are willing to feature this game. Eight Card Stud is played by five to seven players, and these are the mechanics:

1. The dealer distributes two cards to each player. These cards are facing down and only seen by the player himself. Players are given a brief moment to examine their cards and decide on bets.

2. The first betting round begins. It starts with the player to the left of the dealer and goes around the group in a clockwise motion, ending with the player to the right of the dealer.

3. There are five more distribution rounds of one card each that follow this. The cards are distributed one at a time and they are all facing up for all the players to see. After the distribution of each card, there is a betting round that follows.

4. Finally, the eighth card is dealt to each of the players. This card is facing down. Players are given some time to examine their cards and choose the best five card combination from their hands.

5. Players show cards and the highest hand wins.

Shifting Sands is a variation of Seven Stud Poker. It is a fun game to play with friends on a poker game night at home. This game can accommodate seven players, but five players is the ideal number to go with. Here’s how Shifting Sands is played:

Step 1- The dealer distributes three cards to each player. These cards are facing down. At the same time, the dealer also asks for the players’ ante bets to set up the initial pot value. Players are then given enough time to examine their cards.

Step 2- Each player is instructed to choose one card from the three dealt to them. This card will be turned to face up and shown to all the players. The turning of cards is done simultaneously by all players. These cards are considered each player’s individual wild card, and if they have any other cards of the same rank in their hands then those cards will be known as wild cards as well.

Step 3- The first round of betting begins. The first player to act on the betting is the one seated to the dealer’s left.

Step 4- After the first round of betting, the dealer distributes one more card to each player. This card is dealt facing up. It is worth reiterating that if the same face up card appears, then this will also be considered a wild card. This time, as another betting round is opened, the first person to act is the player who has the highest face up card. This step is repeated twice more, until all the players have six cards each, along with four rounds of betting.

Step 5- The seventh and final card is distributed by the dealer. This card is dealt facing down, and is also followed by a round of betting. It will be initiated by the same player who started out the previous betting round. Showdown follows, and the highest hand wins.

Cribbage is also known as crib, and is a card game that is normally played for two players. The game may accommodate up to six players though, although the number of cards that will be dealt to each player has to be modified for the games with more players. This game is quite complicated because there are two scoring stages in the entire game, and the scoring system itself is a very difficult and tricky system, and so it takes a little bit of time to get used to the game.

The game makes use of your standard fifty-two card deck, and the players are dealt either five or six cards. A separate starter card is laid down in the middle as the start of the crib if there are three players; otherwise, the crib begins when the players pick the cards they want to discard. When the cards have been dealt to each player, then they look at their cards and decide which four cards they like the most, taking into consideration the scoring system and the possible card groups that they can come up with, and then they discard their extra cards into the “crib” face-down. These cards will, later on, be used by the dealer himself.

There are two parts to the game of cribbage – the play, where the players discards their cards one by one and scores according to the card they discarded, and the show, where they score the hands that they have based on the starter card. One has to be careful with the cards that they lay down for the play, because a player can get the most points out of a particular order in which he lays his cards. The score is kept using the crib board, which is a wooden plank with holes that hold the pegs that correspond to a player. Each hole corresponds to a particular point, and the pegs are placed based on the points that a particular person has managed to accumulate in the game.

It’s quite a confusing game if you are a beginner, but it is considered to be the quasi-official game of the American submariners. It takes skill and strategy to be able to pull it off, and so you have to be familiar with the different hands that are involved and the scoring system as well in order to be able to play cribbage effectively. Basically that is crib in a nutshell.

The popularity of poker games made it possible for some offshoots and variations to come out. Whether it is a Hold’em variation, a stud variation or draw card game variation, the general idea remains that they were invented to cater people’s need for more exciting games. The good thing about these variations is that if you ever get tired of playing a particular game, you can always resort to some other game without ever having to depart too far from the game’s original rules, since in general they will still adhere to a common rule, it’s just there were twists added in order to make it more interesting.

If you are quite tired of playing a Hold’em game and would want to try a new game that does depart much out of the original game, then Crazy Pineapple is one variation you will surely enjoy. It is a game that can be similarly played with any hold’em games, aside of course from some tiny departures in the original game. Instead of the usual two personal cards dealt at the beginning of the game, players will receive three personal cards. It will be followed by a betting round before the flop will be put down. The flop is the first three community cards to be placed down on the table. After the second round of betting, the crazy part of the game comes up!

After the second round of betting wraps up, each player must throw away one of the three personal cards in their hand leaving everyone in the table with two personal cards now. The remaining cards will be paired with three of the community cards to form their best hand. After the crazy second round, the rest of the game will pretty much follow the same way as Texas Hold’em. This is one variation that you would want to try sometime in your playing career.

Draw poker is a game that closely echoes the earlier forms of poker largely a main home game but has been replaced by other more popular poker games in the recent years. Draw poker in a nutshell is a type of poker game where players have every chance of improving their cards by discarding unnecessary or useless cards. In return they will draw new cards to replace the cards that they threw away. Many players appreciate this game’s departure to the usual poker games they are playing hence still the popularity among certain players.

Discarding and drawing of cards depends though on the house, the dealer usually determines the number of cards to be discarded and the number of cards to be drawn in exchange. Draw games often have two betting rounds, one of which is done before drawing, the other after drawing cards. Blinds are posted by the first two players sitting on the dealer’s left. After the blinds has been posted, the dealer gives each player their five cards, all facing down. Based from the cards in the players’ hands, they must make their calls in the betting round. They have the option of checking, raising or folding.

After the first round of betting, players are then given the chance to replace the cards they want to get rid of from the cards in the deck. The number of discarded cards must match with that of drawn cards. After the exchange of cards has been completed, the final betting round ensues. In the showdown, players must show their cards. Player with the best five-card hand wins the pot. Some of the most common variation of draw poker games are five-card draw, California lowball, Gardena jackpots and Badugi.

Seven-card stud is perhaps the next most-played poker games in casinos, a poker card game that does not use community cards to improve a player’s hand whatsoever. Each players are handed a total of seven cards in which they must make the highest possible hand. No need thinking about using specific cards only because any cards can be used to make one’s hand. Although seven-card stud games can be played both high and high-low ways, this article will solely focus on the high only. In high only game, the highest hand wins the game.

The game usually start with each player putting antes in the pot, a sort of forced bet required from everyone. After the antes is done, the dealer will begin giving cards to each player, two face down cards and one face up card. An important and useful technique that any player can employ is keeping track of the showing cards in the table. This will prove to be very helpful in a game, giving the player an idea of what cards have already been out and what still remains to come out. A good memory will be quite necessary.

After the cards has been dealt, the bring-in or the forced bet must be made by the player with the lowest up card. After that player has placed their bet, the betting will continue with player having the option of calling, checking, raising or folding. Right after the betting, another card will be handed to the players, face up. This round is called the fourth street and it will be followed by another round of betting, then the fifth street and the sixth street. That would be a total of 4 betting rounds with additional cards in between rounds. After the final betting round has been called, players must now reveal their hands in what is called a showdown. The dealer will determine the winning hand, which in seven-card stud high belonging to the player with the highest-ranking card.

Seven-card stud hi-lo games means that the game can be played both as a high and a low. The pot is divided between two winners but it is also possible that only one player gets to win both, in this case this is called “scooping the pot”. A hi-lo game follows basically the same rules for the high stud game but in the case of low game, it usually adheres to the “eight or better” rule. This means that in order for a player to win the low part of the pot, he must have a final five-card hand with a rank of Eight or lower than eight. In this case, Aces can be used as either a high and a low card. Regardless of the combination and the rank a player employs, he will have to make his best hand, both highest and lowest, from the seven cards he has in his hand.

That being said, seven-card stud pretty much follow the same mechanics as seven-card stud high. All players must ante after which the dealer will then give each player three cards, 2 of which are facing down while the remaining card is facing up. Player with the lowest up cards must begin the betting with their bring-in. The first and second betting round of the game may follow the lower betting limit but come third round and remaining betting rounds, the higher betting limit is followed.

In the showdown, the first half of the pot will be awarded to a the highest-ranking hand while a player qualifying to a lowest hand wins the other half of the pot. Again, players may opt to use the same cards to form their high and low hand. Straights and flushes does not have any effect on the value of any low hand and remember, a hand with a card higher than 8 does not qualify for a low hand, it should always be lower than eight unless the management has specified rules about it.

Before Texas Hold’em became the most popularly played poker game that it is today, it used to belong to seven-card stud game. Across America and Europe, seven-card stud made quite a good name for itself but somewhat strayed from the limelight. But recently, the game is making a comeback again in the form of mixed poker games. What is the difference with seven-card stud game to a Texas Hold’em game? The main difference lies with the fact that Hold’em games are community card games, which uses additional cards aside from the ones player have in their hand, while stud game does not. Aside from that, stud games are usually played with fixed limit unlike other poker games.

Seven-card stud usually begins with players putting an ante to make up the pot. Antes are generally forced bets players must place as opposed to Hold’em blinds. Each player will be then dealt with three cards, two of which are facing down while the other one is facing up. Stud players must make an effort in remembering their opponent’s up cards as this will be an extremely vital information that could help them in their game. Player with the lowest showing card must place a bring-in, a forced bet, which everyone must follow up with either calling, checking or raising. This round is called the third street.

In the next betting round, called the fourth street, each player will receive another up card in addition the three cards they are holding but this time, player with the highest showing hand begins the play. It will followed by the firth street, sixth street, the river and finally the showdown. In the final round called the river, players will receive their card face down. After all the acts has been placed, all players must now reveal their hand to a showdown. Player with the highest-ranking hand wins the game.

Seven-card stud can be played as high only or as high-low, which means that the pot is divided into two not only for the winning high hand but also for the lowest winning hand.

While many may often mistake five-card stud to seven-card stud, in reality the two game are different to each other. Five-card stud is simply not a draw card game too, it is a unique game that follows its own rules. It may not be as popular as other game such as Texas Hold’em and Five-card draw, but it sure has an allure of its own enough for stud players to still play the game. Besides, five-card stud is the mother of all stud variations out there.

Each players are dealt with two starting cards. One of these cards are facing up while the other one is facing down. Stud games often starts with players placing their antes to make up the pot prize. In betting, the player with the lowest up card is expected to place the bring-in first. Basically, bring-in is just a name for forced bet a player has to place to start the game. In the case of a tie, the player sitting closest to the dealer does the bring-in. After the first round, the dealer hands another up card again and the player with the high-ranking card starts the next betting round. This will continue for the rest of the remaining betting rounds until each player gets their complete 5 cards in their hand.

In these rounds, players can either call, check, raise or fold, all depending on the cards at their hand. In showdown, players must now reveal their hands for everyone to see and to declare who the winning player is. But in most cases of a five-card stud game, players do not actually get to reach the showdown part because players have already exhausted their calls as the betting progresses. Variation in five-card stud is a bit common to add more excitement to the game because admit it, seasoned players will be able to read any player’s card in an instance with all the up cards handed each time. So it’s a matter of strategy for each player how to play their game and excel at it.

Watching Texas Hold’em tournaments on your television sometimes urges you to want to play the game too. The prize is really good and the game does not look bad at all. But before you get too excited to head over the nearest casino, at least you should know the basics of the game first, find out all the ins and outs of the game from mechanics, betting systems and finally, the techniques and strategies players learn and get to practiced along the way.

The tournaments you watch on TV usually adheres to Texas Hold’em rules. What is Texas Hold’em? How does one play it? Texas Hold’em is perhaps the most popular poker game today with millions of people playing it in casinos and online sites. It is a simple card game that can get really complicated the longer you stay in the game but for now, explanations would be for the basics. A good thing to remember about Hold’em is that it is a community card game, which means there are additional cards placed on the table as the game progress for any players to help them make their best hand. The goal of the game is to make the best possible hand out of the seven cards, which in this case, hand ranking should also be taken with considerable attention too.

Before the game begins, small blinds are posted by the player sitting directly to the dealer’s left and the big blinds posted by the player sitting next to the player who posted the small blinds. Remaining players do not need to post blinds as posting is done by rotation. Then, players are dealt with two cards by the dealer, usually called your pocket cards. This will be followed by four betting rounds but in between these betting rounds, community cards are handed placed in the table for everyone to see.

In the betting round, players have the option of checking (pass on betting to the next rounds), calling (agreeing to the bet), raising (increasing the previous bet called) or folding (to get out of the game). These options will be based on the hand that a player has. After the betting rounds, the showdown follows, wherein all players must reveal their cards for everyone to see. Player with the highest hand wins the game.

One of the most popular reasons why most people are drawn to sporting events and other games is that betting is involved, which provides many opportunities for winning and earning money. If you are really considering getting yourself involved in serious money-making betting, it is highly suggested that you try Arbitrage Betting, which is very popular in sporting events.

Arbitrage Betting is not something new. In fact, this type of sports betting method has been around for a very long time already. This type of betting is popular among wide range markets. What attracts many people to engage in Arbitrage Betting is that there is very low risk of losing money. Also, there is a great opportunity to earn a really huge amount of money. What makes this game low risk is that you can win even if the team you bet on loses. As you place a bet on bookmakers, you have the chance to analyze the odds involved. In other words, you have the opportunity to win over the bookmakers. You are not required to determine who the winner will be between two teams. Also, the great thing about this betting is that the bookmakers will never have the same prediction as to who will win in the game. The word Arbitrage actually refers to the difference in odds for a certain sporting event. If you really want an easier time with betting, then Arbitrage maybe for you. You can easily win lots of money without worrying that you can lose the same amount of money as well. More and more players are attracted to this type of betting, and the number keeps on growing day by day. Famous sporting events that use Arbitrage Betting are the NBA, NFL, NHL, and European Soccer Games such as the EPL, LFP, and more.

What attracts many people to non-casino games is there are many types of betting involved, which brings excitement to the experience. If you are interested in non-casino betting, you will absolutely love Sports Betting. Sports Betting is exciting because it gives you an opportunity to win big, and at the same time allows you to enjoy speculating. Most people find thrill in deciding the outcome of sporting events, something which is entirely distinct from casino games.

Sports Betting is an old system that has been used by sports enthusiasts. Until today, Sports Betting is very famous in such sports such as basketball, football, baseball, and hockey. Sports Betting allows you to predict what will happen in the sporting event, and betting money or your prediction. Sports Betting may seem very complicated at first, but if you look closely, you will see that it is really simple and easy to understand.

In Sports Betting, the players try to decide what the outcome of the sporting event involved, would be. Once he decides the outcome, a player can place a wager and hope that the outcome of the sporting event will be the same as what he predicted earlier. In sports, the player can bet on a certain team to win. The person is successful and collects earnings if his team wins.

The great thing about Sports Betting is that the outcome is very much based on the statistics and probability of many factors such as the players, team standings, location, and many more. Point Spread Systems can also be used in Sports Betting, which is also known as ending odds. To give you an idea of how this works, the bettors may place additional points to a weak team’s final score. Point Spread Systems can also require a deduction from the strong team’s final score. This system is actually very attractive since it gives a fair edge for both sides.

Aside from casino games such as poker, blackjack, and baccarat, non-casino games are fun to play as well. Non-casino games consist of unique games such as Piquet, Lansquenet, Liar’s Poker, Three-Card Monte, Scratch Cards, The Razzle, Head and Tail, Backgammon, and Passe-dix. Non-casino also consists of betting types. The Parimutuel Betting is a betting form that is used in non-casino games such as sports and races.

Parimutuel Betting has been here for a long time. This type of betting dates way back in 1867. Joseph Oller is the genius who has created this form of betting. Parimutuel Betting is very famous in such events as horse-racing. There are certain terms that you need to know say for example when betting in a horse race. Win refers to a person winning the bet for the horse that placed-first. Another term is the place, where one person successfully chooses to bet on a horse that needs to be placed first or second. Show means that a person has successfully bet on a horse that needs to place first, second or third.

Parimutuel betting is similar to fixed-odds betting. The difference between the two is that fixed-odds results can be known right away, while Parimutuel betting results can be known only after each player has placed their bets. A Parimutuel Betting is simple to understand. No one can place a bet, after everyone has placed wagers, and the game has started. After the bets have been placed, the tax and percentage of the house is subtracted from the pot. In order to know how much each player is receiving as winnings, each unique result that happens is equal to the money that was bet. This amount is divides the pot and is split accordingly. Parimutuel Betting is an old system that is definitely here to stay.

Outside of the casino, you can also find Fixed-odds betting. Fixed-odds Betting involves a great sense of calculating odds. Fixed-odds Betting also requires a bit of luck in order to be successful in whatever game involved. Fixed-odds games applies to popular non-casino games such as horse-racing

In order to play a game that involves fixed-odds, it is important to possess an analytical mind. Of course, you need to have impressive mathematical skills that will enable you to determine the odds of winning. You have to know which odds are the best, and once you have determined those odds, you can select them and play them as your odds. The interesting thing about the fixed-odds concept is that you if you have the best odds, you can really win big, but if you do not have it, you can really lose big-time!

The key to succeeding in non-casino games that require odds is to be patient in selecting the odds. Once you have made calculations and have an idea more or less of what you are going to choose, you can sit still and just relax and wait for the results. An important hint is to try to avoid the negative odds. There is no real strategy in playing say for example horse-race betting. The key is to be able to select the best odds through analytical skills.

Fixed-odds consist of three-types of odds. The first one is the American odds, which is one of the most popular types of odds. The American odds involve positive and negative odds. The second one is the fractional odds, which consists of odds expressed in fractional values. The third is the decimal odds. The decimal odds, as the name connotes, is expressed in decimal values. Fixed-odds can really be a challenging yet fun experience!

The Texas Hold’em format in those famous televised poker tournaments is most likely the no-limit Hold’em, which was televised for a reason: it’s much more exciting! Wait, I’m getting ahead of myself. Hold’em has two main kinds of betting variations that are most often used: no-limit and pot-limit. In no-limit Hold’em, the players around the table are still required to post blinds, and more often than not required to shell out antes too! The main difference of a no-limit game from a limit game is that the bets made by the players may go for any amount, as high as all the chips they have on their piles.

Pot-limit Texas hold’em is not as strict as the constricting betting variation of limit Hold’em, but it’s not as liberated as the sometimes catastrophic game of no-limit Hold’em either. The same rules apply for the system about blinds and buttons. However, in pot-limit Hold’em, players are not allowed to place bets that are higher in value than the value of the pot. This variation is best for players who don’t want to risk too much with no-limit, yet want more freedom from limit Hold’em.

In my personal opinion, no-limit is the best betting variation of Texas Hold’em. While this may not apply to everyone, especially the beginners, reckless betters, impulsive players or the Timid Toms, it is the perfect game for more advanced skillful poker players. Just like a mighty sword, no-limit Hold’em can be the ultimate weapon for those who know how to wield it. A player can perform massive bluffs in order to increase the pot value or intimidate all the other players into folding. He can use psychological strategies such as an exposed bluff in order to get another player’s entire pot! The possibilities are quite endless, and so is the cash flow!

Six-card Stud is not one of the most famous variations of Poker, yet it is one of the most strategic games. In order to succeed in Six-card Stud games, you need to develop patience and good strategy. Having sufficient knowledge and experience in Six-card Stud is helpful since it will improve your game and strategy. You can also have lots of fun playing Six-card Stud. Six-card Stud is available in variations such as Sixty Four, Alligator Stud, and Zanetti Stud. We will focus on the Zanetti Stud, which is similar to the Alligator Stud. In Alligator Stud, the players are initially dealt one hole card and one upcard. Zanetti Stud is different in the sense that the players are dealt two downcards and one upcard. Also, each player is only permitted to play one downcard in his final hand.

Zanetti Stud is easy to learn but requires some patience when you are playing the game. With practice, you will be able to incorporate strategies that will help you win the game. The game begins with the dealer handing three cards to each player. Each player receives two hole cards and one upcard. After each of the players have been handed their respective cards, an initial betting round comes. After the initial betting round, the dealer hands two upcards. After each of the players have been handed their respective cards, a second betting round comes. The players place their respective bets and prepare to receive their last cards. After each have been handed their last cards, the final betting round proceeds where the players begin to formulate their strategies for the showdown. The players must play four upcards and one hole card for the showdown.

Zanetti Stud is not so complicated after all. It all boils down to strategy, where the players need to come up with winning combinations for the four upcards and one hole card. Zanetti Stud is fun to learn and worth playing.

Six-card Stud is a variation of poker that is similar to the Seven-card Stud. The game play is as follows: two downcards, three up-cards, and one-down card. In some cases, the Six-card Stud is played in this manner: 1-4-1. Six-card Stud is available in variations such as Sixty Four Stud, Zanetti Stud, and Alligator Stud. One of the variations that we will tackle in this article is the Alligator Stud. The Alligator Stud may be played with a no-limit betting or a pot-limit betting.

Alligator Stud is a variation of Six-card Stud. It is easy to learn the rules of this game. At the beginning of the game, one hole card and one upcard is dealt. The players receive their cards and a betting round comes after. This is the initial betting round of the game. The players place their bets just like in other poker games. After the betting round, each player is given two upcards. At this point, the players have already received four upcards. The players receive their cards and proceed to the second betting round where the players place their bets. After everyone has placed their bets, A fifth upcard is given and third betting round comes after. After everyone has placed their bets, the players finally receive their last card. A final betting round comes after the players receive their last cards. This is the most crucial part of the game since everyone tries to make strategies for the showdown. After the players have placed their bets, the showdown follows where the game is decided.

Alligator Stud is really fun if you try playing it with friends. It is another exciting variation if you want to steer clear of common variations such as Texas Holdem. You won’t regret playing this game, and I guarantee that this will be a breath of fresh air.

Sixty Four is one of the variations of Six-card Stud. The game play is easy to understand. The cards are dealt in this manner: one down-card, four up-cards, and one down-card. Every time an up-card is dealt, a betting round comes after. The betting round is initiated by the player who possesses the lowest hand at the table. During the showdown, the player who possesses the high hand and the player who possesses the low hand split the pot.

Possessing at least a pair guarantees a possibility of obtaining the high hand. In case no one has been able to come up with at least a pair, the pot is scooped by the player possessing the low hand. Possessing at least a nine-down guarantees a possibility of obtaining a low hand. In case no one has been able to come up with at least a nine-down, the pot is scooped by the player possessing the high hand. If none of the players are able to qualify for the high and low hands, the pot is split between the remaining players.

Isn’t that easy? Sixty Four is a great poker variation because it generally picks two winners of the pot. The players who are able to formulate a high and low hand split the pot with each other. As opposed to other variations where a single player only wins the pot, Sixty Four gives two players the opportunity to win the pot. That is not all. Sixty Four also gives other players the opportunity to share the pot in some cases. The remaining players in the game who do not qualify for the high and low hands split the pot with each other. Now isn’t that just great? More people have the opportunity to share pot winnings. Try it and you will enjoy this game.

We live in a lazy generation. In the advent of online shopping, online banking, 15-minute food deliveries, home theatre systems and instant everything, it’s like people are just flat out refusing to leave their homes. It comes as no surprise to me that my friends are always too lazy to take the wheel for the long drives to Vegas or Atlantic City. In order to satisfy my Hold’em desires, I had to learn how to hold my own home poker tournaments. Not only is it a fun activity for friends to catch up with each other and just unwind, it’s also a cool way to make a bit of extra money on the side.
If you’re planning a home poker tournament for the first time, it can be a little stressful. Here are a few tips to get you going:

Keep track of your guests. It’s tough enough as it is, make a list of all the people who were invited, everyone who RSVP’ed yes, what this or that person has to bring, etc. Just a tip, keep the number of guests between five to seven. Contact everyone the night before so that you can get the final list sorted. Use this list for tip # 2…

Make a list of the finances. Payments, buy-ins, winnings, losses, IOU’s, and all the other money matters. Be strict with money collection, and always double check before you pay out.

Have all the supplies ready on the day of the big game. Nothing ruins a party more than hosts fumbling around for forgotten party treats. Make sure you have the poker set, seats for everyone, maybe some finger food, a couple of beers, etc.

Know all the rules by heart. If not, have a book about poker rules nearby so you have a reference for those disagreements in the verdict.

Remind everyone of proper poker etiquette. Just because it’s a Home Poker session, doesn’t mean it has to be rowdy and people have to be rude! Kick it Vegas style and have fun!

In other poker games, whenever a player has a pair of aces for his starting hand, then that person feels safe for the rest of the game, or is encouraged to play that hand because it is considerably a good, strong, and high starting hand. In Omaha, though, this is a different story. Because you have to use exactly two cards from your hand and exactly three from the cards dealt to the table, then you have to consider how to come up with the most promising hands.

One telltale sign that you have quite a good starting hand is when the suits of the two aces and the suits of the two other cards that you have are the same. This increases the chance of two flushes, which makes it a good hand. This does not mean, however, that you should play it at once – make sure you’ve got the best possible combination. For instance, if you have an A of hearts, an A of spades, a 2 of hearts and a 3 of spades, that is even better because you have the chance of two flushes showing up, and not only that, you also have the chance of a straight showing up as well, and it is a promising low hand. The same goes if you have a K or a Q with your double aces – this time, it is good for playing a high hand. This is better than having a double ace with a double picture card, because having two different picture cards will give you an opportunity to play more hands if the need arises.

Another thing to remember is even with the same suits, do not to play an A-A-high-low card unless the high card is a 9 and the low card is a 2. This is because with a 9 and a 2, you have more options – it can be played either as a high or as a low hand. Finally, if you know you’ve got hands other than these for your starting hands, always remember to never raise unless someone else has raised in the table. This is because the chances are you might only have your pair of aces to work with, and that is not a very reliable hand in this game of Omaha, good as it is. It is, after all, a starting hand – the rest of the game still rests on what other cards will be dealt to the table.

Seven-card stud, like other games, can be played as a limit game, and is probably the best way of playing the game because of how easy it could be to analyze the game and to win against the game. Still, that is no reason to be complacent at all; enough technique, strategy and caution is still called for by this deceptively easy game.

The thing about playing limit seven-card stud is that if, by the third street, you seem like you are going down a winning road with really good cards, or if by the third street you have bluffed and played your way into letting a lot of your opponents fold, then you are in good hands. Given that fact, you have to keep in mind a few things that will help you get to this stable point in the competition:

First you have to remember that you have to be patient. You are initially dealt three cards, two of which are not revealed to your opponents, and then a round of betting takes place for that round. Take advantage of it – get your opponents thinking that you have a very strong hand, but do not raise suspicion in overdoing the buildup of your hand. If you have a pretty decent hand, and somebody in the table raises, and you think you have a pretty good chance of winning, then call. Only raise when you are absolutely certain of how strong your initial hand is.

Second, you have to remember when to and not to play. The rule here is simple: play if you have a good hand, and fold if you don’t. There is no use building up a hand that has no clear chance or potential of winning – for instance, if you have three cards that are non-consecutive and are of different suits, then you might not want to bluff your way into that game.

Third, if you’ve got a good hand, don’t be afraid to raise. It is, after all, a limit game, and you won’t end up losing that much if your opponent sees that he is betting more than his hand is truly worth as compared with yours.

It’s all about discretion. In a limit game, you don’t have as much to lose as with the no-limit games, so make the most out of it in your next seven-card stud game.

Piquet is one of the oldest card games in the world, dating back in the Renaissance times. It is amazing to know that Piquet is one of the surviving card games that still thrives until now, at least with a select few. Hearing the name implies that this game is created in Spain, but there is also evidence of its birth in Germany and France. Of the three countries, Piquet has become most popular in France.

This game is nice to learn if you are very fond of card games and new variations. It is also very nice if you can teach it to your friends and play this game together. You may be surprised that this game is not played with the standard 52-card deck. The game is only played with a 32-card deck. If you are interested to buy such deck, you can still find it in some card stores. If you are unable to find it, you can still use the standard deck of 52 cards.

Take for example, we use the standard deck, we use the aces, face cards and cards with ranks 7 until 10 only. Also, the game can only be played by two people. Each person gets twelve cards. The eight cards are considered the talon. The objective of the game is to gather the highest number of points through bluffing the opponent to make mistakes in pointing out which cards you have. The great thing about this game is that people have many opportunities in earning money since the bonus points are high. Bonus points that can be given is from thirty to sixty, or depending on the variation. If you are already bored with the common card games such as poker and blackjack, give Piquet a try. I’m sure you’ll love it.

Are you into exotic card games? It is fun to play traditional card games such as poker, baccarat, black jack, and other casino-related games. It would not hurt to learn great games that actually have sense! I am sure that most of you are not familiar with our topic which is Lansquenet.

The name itself connotes class. Yet the card game is more than its name. It is a classy game that is not-your-ordinary casino game that requires a wager. Card games are more than casino games. And I would like to introduce you to Lansquenet, which has its roots in Europe.

Wanna know how to learn to play Lansquenet? Read on. Each player aims to beat the dealer just like Blackjack. The dealer begins the game by placing a wager. This wager must be met by each player. Each player’s objective is to match his card with the card turned up by the dealer from the deck. The great thing about this game is there is more opportunity to win huge money, compared to some particular card games.

Just some interesting information, Lansquenet actually means servant of the country. Ironically, this game opens doors to many cheaters because of its carefree nature. To give you an idea of how cheating happened in the past, dealers unassumingly have certain cards in their pockets. These cards are already fixed so that they can be used and placed in the deck secretively. Imagine how effective this cheating method is, with the people having less experience with card games. Once you learn this game, you would not have to worry about doing nothing at home. Simply invite your friends and play this game with ease. Oh before I forget, just make sure to not include the cheating aspect, which may bring up a serious fight.

If you are tired of playing conventional card games or games that are often played in the casino, you are at the right article. This article is about the Basset Card Game. Reading the title above, the question that must be flooding your mind is: What in the world is Basset? It is easier to state what the Basset Card Game is not. It is not a casino game. If you have not heard this game in the Casino, do not bother since you definitely will not hear it at least in the near future. Basset is more of a social game that has class and fun!

This game is fun to play with, especially if you guys have the guts to shed a lot of money. It would not hurt to invite a few rich friends to play the game. Just make sure that each of the players involved is willing to risk at least a thousand bucks!

Basset involves high stakes that is why it is very exciting. Each player bets which among their cards are going to turn up. Winning means big money as much as sixty to seven times the priamry bid at most. A player can also instantly lose a big sum of money with a flip of a card. It is essential to use your wits and hope that luck is also on your side.

As you read earlier in this article, it is fun if you invite rich friends. The origins of this game is actually in the mid-fifteenth century where it was played among the Nobles. Places where this was played was in Italy, France and England. The next time you play this game, think of the Nobles who had the opportunity to have much excitement as we do just by playing Basset.

Do not expect to know Contract Bridge upon first hear because this is not a casino game. Just like fun games such as Liars Poker, Contract Bridge is an exciting game that relies on skill and chance. It is more of deceiving the opponent, or fooling. If there is nothing to do on a lazy day with friends, try playing this game and for sure you guys are going to have a blast.

Just some historical background on this game, Contract Bridge can be traced to its origins in the eighteenth century. Before the Contract Bridge was invented, there was a game known as the Whist. The whist was famous that time in England. After this game dominated in England, Copntract Bridge slowly gained attention and became famous eventually. By 1925, Contract Bridge has boomed and quickly became a favorite among card game lovers.

Understanding the game can be quite difficult though. I assure you that it is still easy to understand. You only need four players to play this game. The four players are divinded into two pairs, therefore you guys have partners. Each of you receieves thriteen cards. Let us get straight to the objective of the game. Each of you must aim to have the most points. One hand is revealed on the table. The other hand is obviously concealed. Each person needs to have a certain numebr of cards containing the same suit in order to win.

The next time you catch yourself doing nothing, phone in some friends and invite them for a game of Contract Bridge. If they have never heard this game, you will be proud to introduce it to them and thank you for your card game knowledge. What in the world are you waiting for, call your friend and play bridge!

Is Liars Poker a casino game? The answer is obviously no. It is simply a game of pure fun and leisure, as connoted by the name itself. Liars Poker is not a true poker variation just as you know. It is an extremely fun game if that’s what you call it. You do not need anything extravagant in order to play this game.

For those who have never heard of the term Video Poker, think of it as a Five Card Draw game played in a video console. It may seem plain, but what if I said that you can barely lose money? Seems very enticing indeed. Thanks to the television, the invention of Video Poker has been possible, which can be very easy and convinient to play with.

This game has also grown rapidly among many casino lovers. Video Poker has originated way back in the mid 70’s where a fortune coin company decided to create a play-for-pay game that fused slot machines with draw poker. Thanks to these guys, many people can try and enjoy new things aside form the classic conventional games.

Video Poker requires you to have a knowledge of draw poker. Otherwise, you wouldn’t know what you are doing. On the other hand, you are also required to have a basic understanding and experience of slot machines so that you know how to play. As a refresher, your objective is to be able to produce the best five-card hand possible. Don’t worry, you would not be bothered by poker face opponents since you are simply competing with the computer.

There are also tons of resources over the internet which will help you understand Video Poker, and lots of strategies as well. Lots of sites will also explain how odds work in this game. An example is to remember that less than a percent consists of the same five cards, and more than 60% consist of two cards entering draw.

Draw Poker can be very fun in the casino, same goes with the slot machine. Luckily, there is such a thing called Video Poker, which makes life easy. It also allows easier reaping of awards with the help of technology.

The carnival is a place that is notorious for giving illusions. The carnival has two main targets: the children, because a child believes everything; and the lovers, because the feeling of elation adds to the illusion that the carnival presents, thus creating this sort of romantic mood for them. Now, given that one or both of these lovers is rich, then chances are they would go about playing games of chance without thinking twice.

Chances are, somebody is waiting to exploit them.

Take for instance the game of razzle, which is also known as the razzle-dazzle. It is notorious for being one of the most dishonest games out there, and the dealer does not even have to do anything – the razzle board does all the work. The board contains numbered holes, and what a player does is he places a bet to be able to play a round, and eight marbles are then rolled onto the board. The scoring is done depending on where the balls fall; these numbers are added up, and the player has to reach a certain number of points in order to be able to win the prize. The points accumulate as the player decides to play again and again, but with that, the required points also increases with the bigger prizes for each round, and so in reality, the player is setting himself up to lose a lot of money. This is because the board has way too many low-valued numbers, that the points will very rarely measure up to the required points for tha round.

If you don’t mind reliving your childhood experience because at this time you already have enough money, then you should play razzle. Otherwise, just stay away from the game, unless you’re just playing some variant of it at home for fun and not for money.

The 5 Reel Online Slots is definitely the most popular type of slot machine games because of the excitement it brings in the casino floor. You can imagine how much money you can win with the right spin and blessing of luck. If you are fond of playing casinogames that do not require much effort and skill, the 5 Reel Online Slot is for you.

The great thing is you do not have to go out of your way to travel to a casino club just to indulge in this addictive game. You can simply remain at home, relax, and play 5 Reel Online Slots. I believe the game was infuenced by the 3 Reel Online Slot, which is the simpler version. Obviously, it only contains three reels and is very convenient to play. The addition of two more reels has made this game more exciting and has come up with bigger jackpots.

Of course, the 5 Reel Online Slot has also many variations just like the 3 Reel Slot. It is available in interesting names such as Achilles, Aladdin’s Lamp, Alien Hunter, Avalon, Atomic Age, just to name a few. 5 Reel Online Slot games vary in terms of the pay chemes and bonus features. Expect more paylines of course, and you will be surprised that you cannot complain! Think of the big jackpots if you hit it. Don’t forget that slot machines are merely a game of luck, but with determination, you can win big just like any other person who has done so. The key is to know when to continue playing, or when to stop. Losing big is also very much possible in slot machines. The best thing to do is to relax and just have a great time. Choose your favorite games and enjoy!

At first, one may be intimidated with the complexity and mechanics of 3 Reel Online Slots. I prefer to describe this game as fun. Being a casino enthusiast myself, I used to not like the idea of learning new games. After I learned this game, my thirst for newer games has always grown huge without a doubt. In fact, I have been hooked on it until now.

3 Reel Onlite Slots is also what I consider a major breakthrough in casino home gaming. Casino can be very addictive but can be tiresome for others who do not wish to travel just to play and prefer staying at home. The 3 Reel Online Slots comes in famous variations that will keep you entertained in your home. These are Bar Bar Black Sheep, Cash Crazy, and Zanny Zebras. You do not have to worry yourself about being good in this game because everyone can be good. It is so simple to learn and does not require much effort and skill. You won’t even be bored about seeing the same routine screen layouts because 3 Reel Onlite Slots consist of great visual effects and stimulation. Each game also consists of themes that will keep you hooked.

In 3 Reel Online Slots, all you have to do is to watch out for the winning combinations since each of them differ in terms of payouts. You can choose which type of game you wish to play based on their combinations and award schemes. Also watch out for extra jackpot rounds which are available in some games. These are great features that allow you to win a huge amount of money.

You can play this at the comforts of your home and do not have to travel just to play. Try it and you will be astonished!

If you are not from familiar with gambling, then UK Pub Slots definitely sounds very strange to you. Come to think of it, UK Pub Slots are really slot machines that have distinct features. UK Pub Slots are also known as fruit slots or fruit machines. Slot Machines are extremely big business in the casino world because of its simplicity and high probability of winning.

The British version of slot machines is a refreshing idea for most gambling enthusiasts. Plus, UK Pub Slots provide more opportunities of winning, and more cash! Thanks to the creativity and curiosity of the British people, we have the fruit machines as an alternative to the conventional slot machines. Another interesting feature of the UK Pub slots is the ability to cheat!

In the UK Pub Slots, the random number generator system is not used. Instead, the machine allows players to keep their combination as intact as possible if they haven ot hit the jackpot after many tries. In the conventional slot machines, the system randomly generates the numbers and decreases you chance of winning the jackpot. You must be thinking right now that this game is crazy, t is absolutely crazy! This is why many people play this game not only in the UK, but around the world as well.

UK Pub Slots are avainable in many varieties imaginable. Unique names such as Apocalypse Now, Bill and Ted Slot, Bingo Bango Boom, Cash n Curry, Gee-Gees, and many more. Personally, I love this game because one can attain a long winning streak, and not to forget, the hidden features and cheats that can even maximize you earnings. What I can say is that this game is not for everyone. It is either you like or dislike this game. Try it out and see if it suits your taste.

Whenever one hears the word Roulette, lots of things come into mind. A small wheel instantly comes into the mind of the addict. Another person may think it as a game of chance. Still, other gambling enthusiasts would imagine big money. No matter what people think of Roulette, it is certain that it is one of the most attractive casino games in the world.

Roulette is a casino game that involves a spinning wheel and a ball. The wheel contains numbers that have color codes that represent odd and even numbers, and the ball is thrown into the spinning wheel in order to determine the outcome of the game. The outcome is determined when the wheel stops spinning, and the ball falls into one of the color-coded numbers. Roulette goes a long way back into the 18th centruy. It was in France where this game has been invented, by a creative Blaise Pascal. From him, the game evolved and spread throughout the world. Also, variations of the game has arose and has been integrated in other casino games. Today, it is nearly impossible to spot a casino without a roulette.

It is hard for one to be worried about learning the game because it is really simple to understand. The wheel usually contains 38 slots that consist of 36 numbers and one zero. The game also allows the players to purchase colored chips in order to avoid confusing their bets. As a result, the players who win exchange their colored chips with cash chips, which represent money value. The players now compete by placing their bets accordingly. The croupier then spins the roulette and throws the ball. The ball lands on one of the numbers and the winners are paid by the croupier. Roulette is a very exciting game and who knows you can be the next lucky winner.

There are games that we have been playing for such a long time, we become oblivious to the fact that they are, in fact, still actually games. This is because we get so used to these games that we already consider them a part of our way of life, or a shortcut to something that we want to do. One such game is the head and tail, or the heads or tails, or simply, the toss-coin. We have been playing the game so much so that we do not really think of it as a game anymore; instead, we turn it into a means of deciding on something that involves two choices of decisions that you can make.

In fact, head and tail is a very easy and enduring game that people can wager on . The mechanics are ever so simple – so simple, in fact, that anyone at all in the world can play the game, even without formal introduction to it. This is how it basically works: two players choose one side to wager on – one can vote for heads, and one can lay his money on tails. The coin is then tossed, caught in one hand, then turned over to the back of the other hand, after which the face that shows is revealed by removing the hand that caught it. The face of the coin that is facing up when this is done wins the game.

Though this may be a very simple game, variations still stemmed out from this game of toss-coin. In Australia, an illegal – can you imagine a toss-coin game being illegal? – game has stemmed out from this simple head and tail game: the Two-Up. Then there’s the Cross and Pile, from England, which works the same way as the head and tail, and is derived from the Greek game Ostrakinda, which is the same game except the coin is painted, and the player chooses between night and day instead of heads and tails. The game has different names in different countries as well, but one thing remains certain: the head and tail is so widespread that you can play it anywhere and the people will get it.

Nights with friends are always made interesting, thanks to the help of card games. A few beers and many stories later, you will find yourself in a group where everyone has friendly competition while downing even more beers and sharing more stories.

One of the games best played during these nights is the poker bull. It is considered by some as quite a weird game, but it is most certainly fun to play on those game nights you have with your friends. It’s pretty easy and it requires only that you know how to bluff jokingly.

The game begins with five cards being dealt to each player. The next thing will require you to know a little bit about poker, specifically the poker hands, because you are going to try to bid on what hands can be made using the cards in the group of players’ hands as well as your own. As with regular bidding, the present bid must be higher than the preceding bid, and you have the option to pass. When the bidding is done, you lay down your cards and see what hand you can form. If the highest bidder got the bid right, then everyone loses a card for the next round of the game, but if he got it wrong, he loses a card and ends up with just four cards. The cards are then gathered and dealt once again, this time following the respective number of cards depending on whether or not the highest bidder got his bid right. This process is repeated until only one person is left with cards in his hand – this person is the winner of poker bull.

As mentioned, this game requires bluffing, because if you happened to have a high poker hand, you want to be the highest bidder without giving away the fact that you are certain that your bid can be formed using all the cards. But it is an easy and fun game that you and your friends are sure to enjoy, and it’s not too serious either, so it’s great for those game nights and poker parties.

Card game varieties are around to make sure that you are continuously entertained by the particular game that you are playing. These varieties come up when people want to spice up their game. Almost every card game that you know of has at least one variation.

One such game is rummy. The goal of rummy is to be able to discard all of your cards by laying down and laying off three to four cards that are of the same suit. The same rule goes with Michigan rummy; only, in Michigan rummy you score This game can be played by three to eight players, and so this should be fun for a group or a game night, if you find yourself tired of playing poker and you want to try something else. Remember, though, that if you have more than four players, you have to use a double deck so that you do not run out of cards at once.

First, the players draw cards to determine who gets dealt cards first. Then the deck is shuffled, and each player is dealt ten cards, with the person who cut the deck during the shuffling getting eleven cards. The rest of the cards remain in the deck, facedown, and are set down as the stock. Take the top of this pile, and turn it up – this will serve as the beginning of your discard pile. Now it’s time for you to draw: the player to the left of the dealer begins, and each player may choose to draw from the stock or from the discard pile. Be careful when drawing from the stock pile though – you have to also pick up those cards on top of the card that you choose, and this may mean it will take more time for you to finish laying down and laying off your cards. Also, you have to use this card at once, so think carefully before doing so. The turn ends by discarding one card to the table, and then this happens until either a player gets rid of all his cards, or until the first player reaches 500 points. The points are calculated at the end of each turn, and they are calculated based on the assigned value of the cards.

If you’re already familiar with the game of rummy then this variant shouldn’t be difficult for you to try.

The rest of the world came to know that Mah Jong exists in China in the 19th century, but it is believed to have originated way before that – about five centuries beforehand. The original game is believed to have existed since the 14th century, during the Ming Dynasty’s rule, and today it still is one of the most popular card/tile games in the world.

Of course, the type most of us are familiar with is the American mahjong, which is quite like playing poker, only with a different and more complex set of hands. More often than not, tiles are used for a game of mah jong, but there are some who use mahjong cards as well. Depending on the number of cards or tiles in the game, the four players are dealt seventeen to nineteen cards/tiles. The stack these tiles two tiles high, and they start the game by having a dealer throw in three dice. The dealer gets the total, and then counts countreclockwise starting with himself. A player’s row is then chosen, and then the counting of the sum tiles begins, and these tiles will be slid off to the right. Afterwards, the dealer takes four tiles from those tiles to the left, and the other players do the same, until they all have twelve tiles (this is for a thirteen-tile variation of the game). They then take one extra tile, and then the taking of turns for the game itself begins.

Taking a turn is pretty much like draw poker, only the drawing process is done in reverse: a person draws a tile before deciding on which tile to discard. That ends a turn. The players do this until one of them gets one of the hands that are considered winning hands; when this happens, that player drops the tiles for the rest of the players to see, declaring that he has been victorious in forming a hand. As mentioned, it is pretty much like a poker game, although you have to learn the suits of mah jong to be able to get a hang of it. Also, since their hands involve a large number of tiles, you have to be careful as to not get confused. Still, it’s a pretty interesting game to play – the level of difficulty in forming a hand is really challenging for the players.

The name’s Bond. James Bond.

I’m not talking about the famous Ian Fleming character who has been played by people like Sean Connery, Roger Moore, Pierce Brosnan and Daniel Craig. I’m talking about a quite known card game in the United States. Of course, if you’ve spent most of your time in a casino, or if you’re from the previous generation and are an adult now, then you might not have an idea as to what it is I am talking about.

James Bond is more of a children’s game than it is a serious adults’ game. It is played by two to three people, and it makes use of the standard 52-card deck that are used for most other card games as well. There’s not a lot of skill required for the game – just speed and an active and present state of mind.

Here’s how the game goes: if there are two players, the cards are divided into six decks, and if there are three players, then the cards are divided into four decks. The remaining four cards are laid in a row, face-up, in front of the players. At the signal of the person who is in charge of the game (the dealer, if you will), each person grabs a pile and checks to see if they want to exchange a card. Each person can only exchange one card at a time, and they switch this card that they want to get rid of with one card from the table. For instance, if the table has a J-9-K-8 and your hand has an 8-8-7-4, then you might want to exchange either the 7 or the 4 with the 8. There are no turns in this game, and so it’s up to the players to be fast enough and to think wisely so that their opponents will not get four of a kind before the players do. Anyway, the first one to come up with the decks with four of a kind declares his win by shouting “James Bond!”.

As mentioned, there’s not a lot of skill required here, but it’s a fun and exciting game to play nonetheless. If you just want to enjoy a night with your friends and you want some good clean fun, then you might want to try this. It’s also great for kiddie parties.

There are many card games right now that game enthusiasts can choose from. There’s poker, and blackjack for the more strategic people, and there are many other games that do not require that much thinking like the kids’ card game Go Fish. Many people use these card games and other games for their game night at home, and these people continuously change up the games in order to keep the games more interesting. Also, people add a little incentive in order to really get the interest of the people going, and a little prize money usually does it.

But what if you want to do something else – something that’s not as competitive as the other card games out there, and something that does not require any strategic thinking at all?

As I have mentioned, many people find different ways of using a deck of cards to spice up their games. That is how a lot of people came up with the card games that we know of today. There is one particular game that does not require you to think at all, and that does not require skill, but will require you to know how to bluff effectively in order to be able to pull it off. This game is the fifty-two card pickup.

The fifty-two card pickup is more of a practical joke than it is a game. It has no real mechanics, and all it requires is mediocre acting skills on your part and ignorance on the part of that person you will be pranking. Here’s how it works: Get a deck of cards, and ask a person if he would like to play the game. If that person says yes, throw the cards into the air, and shout “fifty-two pickup!” after which, you will tell that person to pick up the cards. That’s the prank in a nutshell. It’s good for those who want to get some good laughs, and if you want to add some spice to the game, then you can alter it. For instance, you can set a time frame, or you can ask the person to pick up the faceup or the facedown cards first.

Have you seen the movie 21 before? It’s a movie that is said to be very loosely based on the MIT Blackjack team. You’ve got a group of brilliant students working together to make the most money out of card counting. I’ve watched that movie on HBO so many times and I must say, that movie really had me intrigued about the game of blackjack.

Blackjack, also known as 21 (hence the title of the movie), is one of the most popular card games in casinos worldwide. It is believed to have been around for centuries, having been mentioned in Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra’s novel, Don Quixote. It is believed that the game has been in Europe since before the seventeenth century, and it made its way to the United States but did not become an instant hit like poker was. Still, today it is one of the most popular card games, because it is a mash-up of skill, fate, and pop culture – the perfect recipe for an exciting game.

The game of blackjack has a simple objective: try to reach the value of 21 using the cards you are dealt. While the objective is quite simple, getting there is not as easy, because you never know what cards are going to be dealt to you, and to win, you must geta higher value than the dealer and get as close to 21 as you can without exceeding that value. Today’s blackjack is a combination of any number 10 card and any ace card.

The game is played against the dealer of the table, and not the other players on the table, so there is no need for you to do some bluffing or anything of the likes as you would do in poker. However, you have to be smart when it comes to deciding whether or not you would play. The game begins with the players placing their bets, and then the dealer deals them two cards for their starting hand. A player can then decide if he wants to hit, or take more cards, or if he wants to stand, or not take more cards. The dealer then plays, and if he gets a higher value than your hand but does not exceed twenty-one, then he wins. If you get a higher value and you do not exceed twenty-one, then you win. If either of you exceeds twenty-one, then that is considered a bust, and that is a losing hand. If the dealer’s and the player’s cards tie, then the round is considered a push, and the bet that the player has placed will be returned to him.

You have to be familiar with the values of the cards and the different terms, but on the very basic level this is how the game of blackjack works.

Today we hear of many amazing boxers in the industry. Pacquiao, de la Hoya, Marquez, Barrera, Morales, Mayweather – these are the names that are rocking the boxing world today. Then, of course, we are aware of the greats like Muhammad Ali and Sugar Ray Robinson. We know that boxing has been around for a very long time, but what some of us may not be aware of is that it has been around longer than we thought it has been.

The ancient times were notorious for their barbaric ways, and so it is only expected that something like boxing could have existed long ago. In fact, there is proof that boxing has existed since sometime during the Minoan period, which was, to give you an idea of how long ago it is, about 2700 BC. The origins of boxing are tied to the Greek mythology – that the boxing of the Ancient Greeks, known as pygmachia, was created by Theseus. The inclusion of pygmachia in the Ancient Olympic games is also credited to mythology. It was included as an homage to the fallen friend of Achilles, Patroklos (or Patroclus, for those who are not familiar with the other spelling). Like today’s boxers, the fighters of pygmachia at the time of ancient Greece practised on punching bags, and they had to wear protective gear on their hands to protect them from injury.

Of course, there is a more sensible explanation to the origin of this sport. It has been said that it came from Sparta, and as Spartans are known to be great warriors, it is a possible root of pygmachia. They did not compete though – they merely used it to train their men to be stronger and tougher. If they had lived today, though, they might reconsider that, seeing the success of the current boxers we have.

With the development of a particular thing or event you can always expect to see new things come up. The Olympic Games, ancient or otherwise, is continuously evolving, and so new games are added every now and then to the mix of the events that are already part of the competition. Compared to the Stadion and the Diaulos, the running match called Hoplitodromos is quite a younger addition to the Ancient Olympic Games, having been added to the event at the 65th Olympics, way back in 520 BC. If you will remember, the stadion was part of the original events of the Olympics, and the diaulos was added in the 14th Olympics in 724 BC. Of course, as expected, the running tournament has evolved by this time, and the mechanics of hoplitodromos are quite different from the aforementioned races.

The athlete competing in a hoplitodromos event is required to wear a helmet and the greaves (that is, the armor protecting the leg… just for comparison, in modern-day sports this could be similar to the shinguards) of a hoplite, or an ancient Greek city-state soldier. These athletes had to race a single lap around the stadium, much like diaulos in nature, but there are tight turns that will be difficult for them to negotiate because of an added twist. They had to carry a wooden shield that the hoplites used, so they have at least fifty pounds of weight on them plus their own body mass. Because of this, the race showed more of the strength and endurance of the athlete rather than his speed and his stamina. This was not only done in the Olympic games, but also as a military exercise to keep their soldiers fit and able. This also made their soldiers faster, because they got used to all the weight that they had to carry. Today this would only be done in the army training, and is no longer a part of the Olympics.

The Ancient Greeks were known for their innovativeness. They were one of the most civilized nations at the time, and thanks to their brilliant minds, their civilization flourished very quickly. Of course, at the time, there was a lot of room for improvement – the luxuries we have today did not really begin until the Age of Industrialization in the 18th century, and even that was still open to a lot of the developments that we have made today.

Of course, no aspect of Grecian life was spared by this innovation. The Greeks always wanted to make things more challenging, and so they pushed the buttons a bit. Their sports events was no exception to this rule. They considered the Stadion their greatest Olympic event, and yet, as you will find out, they still were not content with this as the pinnacle event of their Olympics. Somehow they wanted to be able to test the power of their athletes more, and so they introdued the diaulos.

There is not much to explain about the Diaulos, really. It is, in simple terms, the stadion raced twice. What happens is that the runners race the stadion as they usually would, and then at the 180-meter point, they had to go around a marker and race back to the starting line, which would also serve as their finish line. It’s more reminiscent of the party games that we have today than of the actual racing event that we have in the modern-day Olympics, but you can see how this proved even more the stamina and the speed of their athletes. It was introduced in the 14th Ancient Olympics, and not much was known of the mechanics of the event except what is mentioned above. Still, you could imagine how this may affect the results of the race, because the added distance will wear out those who might do good with just 180 meters to run.

There are many sports events today that are known the world over, and we take pride in those who compete for these particular games. Our athletes today make a lot of money in endorsements, and of course, they receive critical acclaim as men and women who are dedicated to their craft, and this dedication is credited for their success in their chosen sport. For our Olympians in particular, this is true.

Of course, we all know that The Olympics were first established by the Ancient Greeks, so you can only expect that some of the events that we have included in the Olympics today have roots from the original events of the period. One event from the past that is similar to one of the events in the modern-day Olympics is the Stadion. The stadion is named after the building in Olympus in which the Ancient Olympics were being held, and is considered to be one of the major events of the Ancient Olympics. It is so important that the person who actually wins this competition is considered to be the big winner of the entire Olympics. While this is the most known and the most important event in the Ancient Olympic Games, it was also a part of a series of competitions that make up the Pentathlon, the main event of the games at the time.

The Stadion is actually a short sprint race, where the runners will have to race in a 180-meter track. Like today’s running event in the Olympics, there are markers at the starting line to ensure that no one cheats at the start of the game, and their goal is to get to the end of that 180-m track first. There are judges who determine whether or not the win of a person is legitimate. The runners raced naked and was given glory if they won. It is very similar to the event we have today, except today we don’t let our athletes race naked. Still, it was a measure of speed and stamina, and so it is no surprise that it was a very big deal at the time.
