Fatima Moreira De Melo

Fatima Moreira De Melo is a Dutch field hockey player and a Team PokerStars poker player. She is one of the best field hockey players in the world, which has earned great respect from her competitors. She has proud to have a career that is filled with many great moments and achievements especially in international competitions. One of her greatest moments was when she helped her Fatima Moreira De Melocountry win the gold medal in the 2008 Olympics in Beijing.  She has also played for her country in the Sydney Games in 2000 and the 2004 Athens Olympics, and has won the bronze and silver medals respectively. She also played for the Dutch National Team in the 2006 Women’s Hockey World Cup, and won the championship. She also was part of the National Team that won the 2007 Champions Trophy. Fatima immediately made a good impression when she played made her debut against Germany on October 21,1997. She contributed to the team’s offense and allowed her team to win 2-1. Fatima was also a notable player in the Dutch league. Fatima received recognition as the Rotterdam Sportswoman of the Year in 2006.

Fatima is a very well-rounded individual as well. The field hockey player is a talented singer who has sang in different sporting events. During the closing of the 2001 Men’s World Cup Hockey Qualifier in Edinburgh, she sang the theme song for the International Hockey Federation’s International Year of the Youth. That’s not all, because Fatima has also achieved a Masters Degree in Law in 2006. Fatima has also done presentations for national TV stations.
