One of the games best played during these nights is the poker bull. It is considered by some as quite a weird game, but it is most certainly fun to play on those game nights you have with your friends. It’s pretty easy and it requires only that you know how to bluff jokingly.
The game begins with five cards being dealt to each player. The next thing will require you to know a little bit about poker, specifically the poker hands, because you are going to try to bid on what hands can be made using the cards in the group of players’ hands as well as your own. As with regular bidding, the present bid must be higher than the preceding bid, and you have the option to pass. When the bidding is done, you lay down your cards and see what hand you can form. If the highest bidder got the bid right, then everyone loses a card for the next round of the game, but if he got it wrong, he loses a card and ends up with just four cards. The cards are then gathered and dealt once again, this time following the respective number of cards depending on whether or not the highest bidder got his bid right. This process is repeated until only one person is left with cards in his hand – this person is the winner of poker bull.
As mentioned, this game requires bluffing, because if you happened to have a high poker hand, you want to be the highest bidder without giving away the fact that you are certain that your bid can be formed using all the cards. But it is an easy and fun game that you and your friends are sure to enjoy, and it’s not too serious either, so it’s great for those game nights and poker parties.
